Lion Heart will be standing to a VERY LIMITED number of mares beginning in 2008. His introductory fee will be $850 (LFG) plus $250 shipping and collection and $13/per day mare care if you choose to bring your mare to our farm. He is HEAVY in feather like his sire, Lion King. For more information about Lion King, please visit Black Forest Gypsy Horses website at: www.gypsyhorsesource.com and click on the "Stallions" page.
Lion Heart should mature to around 14.3 hands, a nice size for riding or driving (he's doing both already!). He will cross well with shires, friesians or clydesdales to produce some beautiful, HEAVILY FEATHERED Drum Horses!
Lion Heart has got the most gentle disposition of any stallion I have ever been around. He is truly a gentleman.
October 2007 - Feathers flying on air!
October, 2007 - Lion Heart has begun his drive training and is doing GREAT! This was only his 2nd time hooked to a cart. He went for a 4 mile drive down to our country store and did wonderfully!
Lion Heart (16 months old in this photo)
He's got the same short back and abundant feathering of his well known sire, Lion King. He's looking more and more like him as he matures!
At "Mule Days" in Columbia TN (3-07). I can't believe how sweet and gentle this guy is. He's got the most amazing temperment I have EVER seen in a young stallion!
Check out his MOUSTACHE!!! Just like his daddy!
Lexington KY Gypsy & Drum Horse Classic horse show May 2007.
October, 2007 - He is really filling out and maturing nicely with lots of feathers! He's still just as sweet as can be and so eager and willing to please.
Lion Heart at his very first under saddle class at the Gypsy & Drum Horse Classic show in Lexington KY 5/07. We had just started him very lightly under saddle - and he was very green. But we are extremely proud of how well he did for a 2 year old stallion, especially considering the ring was muddy and it was pouring down rain!!
